03/01/10 Keeping on track so far...

03/03/10 The office is having me do B&A pics-I've never been an AFTER picture before... Heading to Psy-Med next week for a psych and nutritional consult. Hopefully I'll get some good ideas for keeping on track.

03/04/10 Well I've been sticking with the plan and my body is fighting back. I gained 1/10th of a pound yesterday. I'm reducing calories for today to 900 (plan). I logged my menu for today and it comes out to 797. I'll see if I can stick to that for today.

03/08/10 Well after working out all weekend and sticking to my food plan I'm a bit discouraged at having gained 1/2 a pound as of this morning. Back down to 900 calories for today...

03/12/10 Went to the Nutritionist and the Psychologist this week. They think I'm doing pretty good food-wise. Basically I just need to flip some carbs (fruit) over to protein (cheese/meat/pudding). I've been eating cheddar in the afternoon to keep the protein going all day and it seems to be working-I'm not as hungry by dinner-time.

Dr. Lockart challenged me with a bunch of ideas. Without going into too much detail, she's having me exercise 5 days a week, twice on Saturday, for 45 minutes per session. As of today I've stuck to the plan. I'm also not weighing every day (actually I AM weighing, just not recording it and trying not to freak out if I gain a tenth of a pound). I've lost 1.8# since I saw her last Tuesday so things seem to be working. I'll be recording my weight the way I did back when I had my RNY-once a week on Fridays...

03/18/10 Weightloss is continuing... I'm only 2 1/2 # away from the next BMI level. I'm under 51 finally and on my way to MORBIDLY OBESE. Who would think MO would be a source of happiness? I go back to Dr. Lockhart tomorrow so hopefully I won't have to go every week.

03/26/10 This week has been a struggle. We went out to a Salad Bar on Saturday. I ate a bit more than I had planned for and I had a small strawberry shortcake for dessert which was totally off program. Monday we got stuck in traffic and ended up eating pizza at Nick's. The pizza itself is ok but I ate more than my allotted 2 pieces. Wednesday Robin didn't like her beans with dinner (bean with fish? what what i thinking?). Anyway, I ate hers as well as mine and those darn things are high in calories.

Yesterday I ate on program at 900 calories and walked 45 minutes in the cold to jump start my metabolism. It paid off in the end as I lost over a pound in one day. The frustrating thing is that when you look at my weekly totals, since I had gained on 3 days last week, the official total ended up being only 1# down for the week. It's easier to just stay on program than to eat off program and pay for it later...

Hopefully next week will be easier. I go back to Dr. Lockhart on Monday but I'm not sure what we'll be talking about.

04/01/10 Well last night wasn't a great night-burned my mouth on some boiling curry-ouch!

The good news is that I'm down more than 73# and have less than that to go... that means I'm more than 50% to go!

04/09/10 Well for the first time in about 5 years I'm back under a BMI of 50. I am no longer Super Morbidly Obese. Who'd-a-thunk Morbidly Obese would be a good thing.
