320# 06/03/04 Well we had a great trip to Canada. I ate tons of stuff but stayed pretty much within our guidelines and still managed to lose a pound. We walked a lot so I'm sure that helped a great deal. I lost another pound this morning so the weight is still coming off.

We are going to Rhode Island tomorrow-man I'm just a travelling fool. Hopefully I'll be able to get in some exercise lugging around heavy bags.


06/10/04 Well I finally made it to the point where I can get into my old clothes. Nope, I didn't go down a bunch of sizes to wear my old army uniform or the suit I graduated in-I am now small enough to fit into ONE LEG of my old FAT jeans.

06/14/04 Well the warm weather has certainly hit here in Texas. I haven't been walking at all since I got back from vacation. I'm blaming it on the heat... I did get a bigger pool and have to put it together next weekend. I wanted to do it this week but the temp was just too high and Robin's toe was still bugging her so I just sat around and ate... bad Stompy, bad

06/18/04 We set up the pool in the backyard this week. This year we got a 15' pool and it is so much bigger than the one we had last year. I can actually swim around in this one. I need to get outside more and be more active. I haven't lost anything since last Monday and only went walking one day. I hate hot weather but really that's not a good excuse for not exercising. I'll try to do better next week.

06/25/04 Well, It finally happened-I'm on a dreaded plateau. My weight was up two pounds this week so I went out and made a really good effort to walk yesterday. I did 3 1/2 miles and managed to knock off the two pounds but I'm at 317# still. I am presenting at the pre-op meeting next month so I have to get rid of that one pound so I can be at 50% of my goal.

I'm going to try to eat better this weekend and make sure I get out there and walk at least every other day. Saturday is grass cutting day so that'll help too.

06/28/04 Woo Hoo! After being on a plateau for 3 weeks and a very dedicated weekend of exercise and food logging, I've lost my dreaded 1 pound! I am now at 50% of my goal and I feel great.

06/30/04 Well logging my food on fitday.com and posting it on the BB Boards seems to have helped. I've dropped another pound-that's 2 pounds in the last 5 days after being on a plateau for 3 weeks. The lesson learned is that the program works-you just have to stick to it!
