My WLS Journey
9/29/03
I went to the new WLS Center today and had my drain removed. I weighed again and it was 441.9#-more than the hospital but this time I was dressed and my butt wasn't hanging out of my gown. I'm going to take these weights as the official ones. My next visit is on the 10th with Kristen.

We went to see "Easter Bunny" who had her surgery today. She's doing okay. We posted a short post from the room for her. I tried out the scale at the hospital and was down to 428.5-yeah me! Amber told me something I did not know-if you are too big for a commercial scale you can stand on two of them and add the amounts-pretty scary but it works.

Well Boys and Girls I'm getting pretty bored here at home. I'm eating Laughing Cow and loving every triangle. Dr. McCarty said I could go back to work next Monday if I felt up to it. Kristen is going to ammend the FMLA paperwork when I see her on Friday. On the plus side, I'm getting the house cleaned up and tossing out a lot of old junk.
10/09/03I went to the center to weigh today before the Baylor Buddies meeting and I am down 30 pounds! I couldn't believe it. 30# in less than 2 weeks-man this is the best thing I've ever done!

I've been "experimenting" with food, mostly chicken, and mostly to bad results. I have not been able to keep solids down so I'm trying to stick to chopped up meat and melted or soft cheeses. All my post-op "wounds" have gone away, now I just have tiny scars with glue-remnants all around them.
