03/01/13 Walking seems to be keeping me on track (no pun intended). Robin wants to do something "active" this weekend-I'm just hoping that a mall and lots of shopping isn't her idea of active...

03/08/13 After a week of yo-yoing 1/2 a pound each day I walked "extra-briskly" yesterday and managed to post a loss for the week. Exercise seems to be the key now and I am going to bump it up to 5 or 6 times a week if I can manage it.

03/15/13 I started taking my left-over phentermine to help my head hunger and it seems to be helping. I went down another BMI point-less than 6 more points till I drop down to the next Obesity Classification. I went bike riding for a short ride yesterday for the first time in about 3 years. I was only out for about 15 minutes but I rode over a mile and worked up a lot of huffing and puffing. My bike needs a tune up, not to mention my butt...

03/22/13 Last weekend we started volunteering at the animal shelter. It was fun but taxing work and I didn't exercise the whole weekend. I gained slightly but managed to take it off in time for weigh-in. 1.9# is the weekly loss but it is closer to 1# since my clothes weigh less and we are adjusting the amount I add to the raw scale weight to match what Dr. McCarty's scale says. I'm at around 45% body fat now which is down 2% but I've lost 34% of my fat which means I'm probably losing lean muscle mass as well... I guess I can ask Dr. McCarty about it next appointment.

03/29/13 Robin had her surgery this week so I haven't exercised at all. It's been a lot of running around picking up Rx's, doing all the housework myself, and helping her with everything. I still managed to lose weight and eat well for the most part.

04/05/13 While it has been a poor week for exercise due to all the rain, I've been walking a bit and watching most of what I eat. I was only down 2# for the week but I am off the yo-yo weight of up and down all week.

04/12/13 I haven't exercised all week BUT work has been tons of extra stuff and a lot of running around in order to get ready to head out to Cancun. By watching my food intake and all the extra housework and running around I did manage to lose 3.5 # this week.

04/26/13 We just got back from a trip to Mexico where I gained 6# but I am happy to report that I've been able to take off the vacation weight and a wee bit more. Now that we're settling back into our routines I'll be getting back out walking most days.

61.3 pounds left to go to get back to where I was in 2005 after my RNY. The next goal after that is another 59# to get to 220# and then hopefully under 200# at some point in the future.
