Caring for Babies with Aids (CBA), a non-profit organization, was established for the purpose of providing the highest possible quality of life for HIV/AIDS infected, affected or at risk infants, children and families. CBA offers a safe and stable family environment through transitional housing for HIV/AIDS impacted children, as well as case management, psychosocial and Support services for their families and HIV affected families in the community. Caring for Babies with Aids promotes public education on issues which impact HIV affected families.

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
The Caring for Babies with AIDS Residential Program is the only one of its kind in Los Angeles County. It provides a loving and caring home to fourteen children who would otherwise have nowhere else to go. The children range from birth to eight years of age, and are cared for by primary child care workers who see to their daily needs. The children also attend school, see mental health specialists and receive physical therapy through the Residential Program.

The primary objective of the Residential Program is to reunite the children with their parents or family members whenever possible. If there are no family members available, foster care is sought. Parents and family members are given instruction on how to provide medical care for HIV infected children and are given training and assistance with appropriate parenting skills. Supervised overnight and weekend visits follow training until the family is fully prepared to care for the child.

The Nursing Department provides for the children's medical needs 24 hours a day CBA's Nursing Department helps each child attain and maintain an optimal state of health by providing in-residence nursing care and acting as a liaison with community health providers.

CBA is Chase's principal charity, and with her help, this club raised over $7000 for CBA last year, even as Chase herself raised over $10,000 personally for CBA.

Chase discussed this most important aspect of her public life in an interview with AnotherUniverse.com's Mania Magazine:
"Seven years ago, when I was new in town, I went to work for a photographer on a book to benefit children with AIDS. I would have to leave my car running because that was the only way I could use it - I couldn't get it to start again if I turned it off - I was really a starving actress, I ended up having to quit. How great is it that I can come back to Caring For Babies With AIDS and bring all these people who want to make donations!" she exclaims."
