Adopt-A-Platoon

The Chase Masterson Fan Club has joined with the Adopt-A-Platoon organization in supporting our troops. Adopt-A-Platoon asigns us a group of soldiers and we are responsible for a letter a week and one package a month. I would like to Thank Steve Govorchin and Paul Rupert for their donations and interest. So far we have sent 76 greeting cards, dried fruit, magazines, envelopes, pens Beef Jerkey, and copies of our handbook and newsletter. Our original assignment has rotated home and I sent another package to an address provided. We have been lucky in that our Military address has been stateside so we have not had to pay full freight to get overseas, Some discretion has been required to keep mailing addresses secure.

Package items:

1 energy foods / breackfast and granola bars
2 beef summer sausage / crackers
3 non-melting candy / gum / cookies ( nothing that will melt in heat)
4 Beef Jerkey / tuna in pouches or poptop cans / poptop cans of fruit placed in ziplock type bags in case of crushing en route
5 pretzels / canned chips
6 raisins / trail mix , dried fruit
7 picante (hot) sauce packaged in plastic containers - Place all foods in ziplock bags!
8 Any kind of prepackaged snack food / bean and cheese dips / chips in a can
9 powdered sugared drink mixes are especialy needed Gatorade, Kool-Aid, etc.
10 Hot cocoa mixes in winter months + tea bags and sugar packets
